Julie Mitchell is a nurse executive, educator, and healthcare leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing clinical education, workforce development, and community-focused healthcare initiatives. She serves as Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs for HCA Healthcare’s MidAmerica Division, where she leads strategic academic partnerships and workforce pipeline efforts supporting nursing and allied health professionals across the region. Throughout her career, Julie has focused on strengthening collaboration between healthcare systems, academic institutions, and community partners to improve access to care and long-term workforce sustainability. She is deeply committed to mentoring future healthcare professionals and advancing scalable, sustainable solutions that promote equitable access, quality, and community well-being. Julie serves on the MOKAN Nursing Leadership Board and participates in regional workforce and onboarding collaboratives. She is also an active supporter of community and health-focused charitable organizations, including The Research Foundation, The American Cancer Society, and Curebound.
